“Blast and Cast” at Courtenay and District Fish & Game Protective Assn

Courtenay, BC

Event Summary:

Families are invited to come cast a line and fish for trout in the stocked pond on Sat and Sun from 9am to 4pm. Bring your own gear or some rods will be available as well as bait and volunteers to clean fish. Thrifty Foods will offer hot dogs and beverages. A special presentation will be made on Sunday at noon to the Family Fishing Society of BC. For more info call 250-338-0091. You can also blast a “bird” or two at the Official Opening of the Shotgun Facility on Sat and Sun from 10am to 2pm. Bring your shotgun and enter a shooting contest for $10 or just try the sport. Lunch will be available both days and a
Pancake breakfast on Sunday at 8am. Prizes for all with windup at 2pm on Sunday. For more info call 250-287-8685.
