The BC Wildlife Federation's "Artist of the Year" program was developed in 1992. The goal of this program is to select an Artist whose work exhibits the beauty of BC's fish, wildlife and habitats. The sale of these limited edition art prints continues to fund BCWF conservation projects throughout the province and at the same time recognize the talent of BC artists.
The BC Wildlife Federation is a province wide, non-profit, conservation organization striving to protect BCís fish, wildlife and habitat and promote the wise use of the environment for future generations. The Artist of the Year is one program that supports our efforts through the sale of limited edition wildlife art prints.
Artists are selected a year in advance to allow time for quality production of the artwork for sale and the ongoing promotion of the artist and their work every year. ARTIST SUBMISSION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MARCH 15th, 2008.
The process involved includes a jury judging with 3 finalists being recommended to our membership who will vote for their preferred painting at the annual convention. The Artist of the Year for 2008 will be feted and the 2009 Artist of the Year announced at the 2008 convention. Artist of the Year Participants are welcome to attend.
