The BC Wildlife Federation is a province wide, non-profit, conservation organization striving to protect BC¹s fish, wildlife and habitat and promote the wise use of the environment for future generations.
The Artist of the Year is one program that supports our efforts through the sale of limited edition wildlife art prints.
The BC Wildlife Federation's "Artist of the Year" program was developed in 1992. The goal of this program is to select a BC Artist whose work exhibits the beauty of BC's fish, wildlife and habitats. The sale of these limited edition art prints continues to fund BCWF conservation projects throughout the province and at the same time recognize the talent of BC artists.
Artists are selected a year in advance to allow time for quality production of the artwork for sale and the ongoing promotion of the artist and their work every year.
ARTIST SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 28th, 2009.
The selection process includes an internal Art Selection Jury who will determine
3 finalists being recommended to our membership who will vote for their preferred
art piece at the annual convention. At the 2009 Convention next April, the Artist
of the Year for 2009 will be feted and the 2010 Artist of the Year will be announced.
All Artist of the Year Participants are welcome to attend.
